I Love It When a Small Saying Says it All

I Love it When a Small Saying Says it All - jhaney.com

I’ve always considered myself a “glass is half full” kind of person. It’s my natural inclination to try and see the positive side or the good in a situation. Here are a few examples:

  • Just after getting my new car, I drove into a water drainage curb in my neighborhood and blew out the right front tire destroying it, but at least I didn’t wreck the whole car.
  • I waited for almost 2 hours for a doctor’s appointment before they decided to reschedule me, but I got a lot of knitting done before packing up and leaving.
  • I was diagnosed with breast cancer, but only needed a mastectomy.

The saying I’ve shared this week, gives hope to us all, no matter our outlook on life.

“People who wonder if the glass is half empty or half full, miss the point.
The glass is refillable.”

Despite my cheery attitude (most of the time) I do have moments when I seem to dump my half full glass of optimism and freak out. I see a tidal wave of catastrophe (imagined or real) heading my way and I want to run! And sometimes I do.

But I return, and pick up my glass of positive outlook, refilled. So, if you are facing a time of uncertainty or confusion and you see yourself with your glass empty of a positive outcome, just know, it doesn’t have to stay empty for long. We have the choice and ability to refill!

Cheers! To a full glass!
